Program Purpose
The Greenville Guardians Youth Sports Association operates youth athletic programs consistent with its charitable and educational mission. Programs may include recreational, developmental, competitive, training, and league-based activities as approved by the Board of Directors.
Participation Eligibility
Participation is limited to youth who reside within the City of Greenville, Texas or are currently enrolled in Greenville Christian School. Residency is determined based on the primary residence of the participant’s parent or legal guardian. Proof of residency or school enrollment may be required. Any participant found to be in violation of eligibility requirements may be removed immediately.
Faith-Based Identity
The Association is a Christian organization and operates in accordance with Biblical principles. All participants, parents, coaches, and volunteers are expected to respect and conduct themselves in alignment with the values upheld by the Association. Participation is not restricted based on religious affiliation; however, adherence to the organization’s standards is required. Programs, materials, and uniforms may include faith-based messaging, symbols, or imagery consistent with our mission.
Program Directors and Commissioners
The Board of Directors may appoint Program Directors, also referred to as Commissioners, to oversee each sport or program. Commissioners serve at the discretion of the Board and may be removed at any time. Responsibilities include managing day-to-day operations, coordinating schedules, assisting with registration, communicating with families, and ensuring compliance with all Association policies. Commissioners operate under Board authority and may not enter contracts, commit funds, or override established policies.
Coaches and Volunteers
All coaches and volunteers must be approved by the Board or its designee. Background checks may be required. Coaches are responsible for player safety, development, and conduct. The Board reserves the right to remove any coach or volunteer at its discretion.
Parent and Spectator Conduct
To maintain a safe and positive environment, only rostered players and approved coaches are permitted on the field. Parents and spectators must remain in designated areas. Disruptive behavior, including arguing with officials, coaches, or participants, is prohibited. Public or social media criticism that harms the organization may result in disciplinary action.
Discipline and Removal
The Board of Directors has full authority to impose discipline, including warnings, removal from events, suspension, or permanent removal from participation. Any individual whose behavior is deemed detrimental to the organization, its participants, or its mission may be removed at the Board’s sole discretion. All decisions are final.
Registration and Fees
The Board may establish registration fees and payment deadlines for participation. Financial assistance or sponsorships may be provided at the Board’s discretion. Failure to comply with registration requirements may result in ineligibility.
Safety and Liability
All participants must complete required waivers prior to participation. Youth sports involve inherent risk of injury. The Association maintains general liability and accident insurance, but participation is voluntary and at your own risk. The Association, its volunteers, board members, sponsors, and venue partners are not liable for injuries sustained during normal participation, except in cases of gross negligence.
